Tropical Type ( Formally New Tropical Design Studio ) was created in 2016 by designer Tom Cunningham. Since then, the small studio has made big moves and transitioned from a multi disciplinary design studio to a commercial type foundry. Tropical Type creates “Fast Fonts” : Single weight display typefaces that are made to stand out. Unlike traditional font families that sell for $100+, Our fonts range from $10-$30 and get even cheaper if you purchase them in bundles. This way our typefaces are more accessible for solo designers and small studios looking for their next favourite font.
